Project Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

Wana Freelancer establishes a clear and structured Project Cancellation Policy to protect the rights of both Service Requesters (Clients) and Service Providers (Freelancers), ensuring fairness, transparency, and balance in cases of project cancellation or withdrawal.

This Policy forms an integral part of the Platform’s Terms and Conditions, and use of the Platform constitutes explicit acceptance thereof.

2. Cancellation Before Work Commencement

  • The Service Requester has the right to cancel the Project before the Service Provider begins execution.
  • If execution has not commenced, the full amount paid shall be refunded without any deductions.
  • Work commencement shall be deemed effective only upon official notification from the Platform confirming the start of execution.

3. Cancellation After Work Commencement

  • If the Service Provider has already commenced work, the Service Requester may request cancellation, subject to assessment of the completion percentage.
  • A reasonable amount shall be deducted to compensate for the effort already expended, as determined by the Platform’s technical support team or designated committee.
  • The remaining balance shall be refunded to the Service Requester after deducting any applicable Platform commission.
  • The Platform shall document project stages and communications to ensure a fair and objective evaluation.

4. Platform-Initiated Cancellation

Wana Freelancer reserves the right to cancel a Project automatically and without prior notice in the following cases:

  • Lack of communication between both parties for a period exceeding seven (7) consecutive days without justification.
  • Material breach of the Platform’s Terms and Conditions or misuse of services.
  • Proven fraud, manipulation, or misrepresentation related to the Project.
  • Violation of applicable laws or regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

5. Refund Method

  • Refunds due to the Service Requester shall be credited to the internal Platform wallet.
  • Bank transfers shall only be processed upon an official request from the user.
  • Bank transfer requests shall be processed within a maximum period of seven (7) business days.

6. Objection and Dispute Mechanism

  • Either party may submit an objection to the cancellation decision within three (3) days from the date of issuance.
  • The objection shall be reviewed by the Platform’s Dispute Resolution Management.
  • The decision issued by the Dispute Resolution Management shall be final and binding on all parties.
